Special Gratitude and Thanks

The art, culture, and heritage of the indigenous Newars of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Nepal Mandala are extremely valuable and precious. Newar art, culture, and heritage are showcased as the culture and heritage of Nepal nationally and internationally. The democratically elected leadership of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, recognizing the comprehensive protection and promotion of art, culture, heritage, and local unique traditions as its important and primary responsibility, has initiated various projects. For the protection and promotion of Newar art, culture, and heritage, which stand as the pride of the Nepali nation, KathmanduMetropolitan City has successfully published a very important Newar Cultural Encyclopedia in collaboration with the Nepal Bhasha Academy.

This encyclopedia contains extensive and comprehensive knowledge and information on various aspects of Newa culture, heritage, festivals, traditions, artifacts, etc. We hope that this Newa Cultural Encyclopedia will support the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and even Nepal, in the work of preserving its unique heritage and culture. This encyclopedia will serve as an important resource for those studying Nepal's culture, heritage, civilization, and history, and for transferring knowledge and skills to new generations.

This important and glorious project has been successfully completed through the collaboration of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the academic institution Nepal Bhasa Academy. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City family and the Heritage and Tourism Committee extend special thanks and gratitude to all the experts and scholars who participated in making this glorious cultural encyclopedia project a success.
