On the day after Dashain, there is a tradition of celebrating the Ganesh Jatra in Kirtipur. The procession starts from the Bagbhairav Temple area in Kirtipur, also known as the Guney area, with cultural traditional music and instruments, circling the town. In the past, this evening jatra used to be organized by the Dwarepakh, but nowadays, it is organized in rotation by the ward that houses the Indrayani deity's palanquin in Kirtipur. The procession concludes back in the Guney area.
Ganesh Jatra is also celebrated in Panga. This jatra is organized by the Guthi. Starting from Dikhyo, the procession circles Panga with traditional cultural music and instruments. In this jatra, women walk carrying lamps. Naykhin and Kaha musical instruments lead the procession, while cultural instruments from various wards follow, accompanying the deity. The jatra concludes upon reaching the Akha Chhen (Guthipati) of the Guthi.
