Batsagopal Vaidya

Artist Batsagopal Vaidya was born on Nepal Sambat 1066, Kaulaga Dwadashi, Monday, in Saugah Tole, Lalitpur, to father Krishnagopal Vaidya and mother Purnamaya Vaidya. He served as an art officer after completing G.D. Art from Mumbai, India. He is also a musician. Since 2020 BS, he has been playing the cultural instrument Damokhin. He started painting in 1970 and has held three solo art exhibitions. He has also participated in group art exhibitions in Kathmandu, Pokhara, America, Japan, Australia, and the UK. His Bikram Sambat 2055saw the publication of the books 'Why Creative Activities?' and 'Creative Expression Through Art'. He won first prize in the poster competition held in 2031 BS, first prize in the National Exhibition held in 2027 BS, and a gold medal in the First Biennial Exhibition held in 2038 BS. He was also awarded the Birendra Kala Padak and Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Fourth.
