Gyanram Shrestha is a personality who has been continuously active as a journalist and activist in the upliftment of Newar culture and Nepalbhasa since Nepal Sambat 1104. He was born on Pohela Thwa Shasthi, Nepal Sambat 1091, in Thimi. His father's name is Ramsharan Shrestha and his mother's name is Gyaninani Shrestha.
Mr. Gyanaram Shrestha was involved with the Nepalbhasa daily Vishwabhoomi newspaper since its establishment, writing various articles for the newspaper. Similarly, he was associated with the Nepalbhasa daily Sandhya Times newspaper since its establishment and served as a news editor for a long time. He wrote many contemporary articles. He also served as the manager and co-editor of Gwahali Lasatapau. He was also the manager of various magazines and the publisher of the Matinaya Sawaa book. He also served as a sub-editor for a long time at the national daily, Himalayan Times. He was...an assistant. He has also served as the co-editor of the Madhyapur Thimi Mhhasika book.

Mr. Gyanaram Shrestha is the Chairman of the National Luminary Shankhadhar Sakhwa Foundation. He is also the General Secretary of Thimi Arts Council. He is a member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bhaktapur. He is also associated with Seabird International College, Advance Academy, Nepal Institute of Engineering, Advance Academy, and All Nepal Info organizations. He has been honored with the Themrung Journalism Award and Diksha Daksha Award.
