Mr. Harishankar Ranjitkar was born in Langan Dalachi Tole on Nepal Sambat 1063, Yanthwa 11, to mother Ratnamaya Ranjitkar and father Harikrishna Ranjitkar. He is a prolific storyteller. His first story, 'Suwah,' was published in Situ Patrika in Nepal Sambat 1085. The list of his published story collections is as follows: 'Kanga' (N.S. 1089), 'Kancha' (N.S. 1091), 'Kama' (N.S. 1117), 'Harishankar Ranjitkar's Stories' (N.S. 1031). Additionally, he has also written a collection of essays. That is 'Hany Khye Dhwamna' (N.S. 1118). He always gives an unrealistic touch to people's real-life behaviors.This very ability to portray is the specialty, skill, and expertise of Harishankar Ranjitkar's stories. He writes stories making eternal emotions and excitements like love, hatred, anger, attachment, etc., arising in people's hearts, as the main subject.
