Poet Nabin Prakash Shrestha was born in Thimi to father Gangalal Shrestha and mother Lakshmikesari Shrestha. He is an emerging poet in the field of modern prose poetry in Nepalbhasa. He is active in writing various articles along with poems in Nepalbhasa and Khas Nepali languages. The name of his published poetry collection is Hyaũngu Swāṃ Hākugu Hi (NS 1140). He also wrote opinion pieces as a columnist in various weekly newspapers. He has been honored with the Bhasha R.B. Joshi Pratibha Award.
