Prem Bahadur Kansakar, a prominent language advocate, emerged after Nepalbhasa literary figures like Dharmaditya Dharmacharya and Chittadhar Hridaya, who strove to elevate Nepalbhasa literature. He was a pioneer of modern essays in Nepalbhasa literature, a multifaceted litterateur, a revolutionary political leader, an archivist, and the founder of various organizations. This great personality was born on Nepal Sambat 1037 Bachhala Thwa 10 (Vikram Sambat 1974 Baishakh Shukla Dashami) to father Aashaman Singh Kansakar and mother Mayju Laxmi Nani Kansakar in Talibi Chuk, Kelatwa, Masangalli. After completing his BA from Patna University and returning,Agitated by the atrocities and oppression perpetrated by the Rana government in Nepal, he joined friends to establish the Nepal Prajatantra Sangh (Nepal Democracy Union) to raise public awareness. Furthermore, to educate the populace, he founded Shanti Nikunj High School in 2003 BS (Vikram Samvat) and was instrumental in establishing Padmodaya High School around the same time. Similarly, on Poush 13, 2003 BS, he inaugurated the Pradipta Library. To further his political activities, he founded the Social Service Association. Professionally, he taught Nepalbhasa for the MA program at Padmodaya High School, Vishwabhasha College, and Patan Campus. He also founded the Nepal Mahila Sangh (Nepal Women's Association) to advocate for women's rights. Furthermore, although he initially joined the Nepali Congress Party in both Nepal and India, he later left the party and resided in Calcutta and Kalimpong for thirteen months, serving as the intimate editor of Dharmodaya Patrika. Following the collapse of the Rana rule and the advent of democracy in Nepal, he returned to his home on Falgun 2, 2007 BS.

He has also published song collections including 'Matinaya Mye', 'Bakhammye', 'Nasadyahya Mye', 'Debdebetapini Mye', 'Lokamye', 'Nyenkambakham', 'Sukrabahatari Bakham'. Furthermore, he has edited children's literature 'Nasala', 'Kakhen Pucha Nugu Susuma Part 1, 2, 3'. He also compiled 'Ratneshwaraya Pradurbhav Natak' by King Jayprakash Malla, and 'Chanakya Saar Sangraha'.He has also published 'Nitiya Safu', 'Siddhidas Mhasike Jivani' and the book list 'Catalogue of Selected Buddhist Manuscript in Asha Safu Kuthi'.
He, who was extensively involved in writing and editing books, established the 'Chwasa Pasa' organization in Calcutta on Bachhalaga 4, Nepal Sambat 1070, to promote Nepalbhasa literature. He served as the first president of this organization and later as a lifetime patron, dedicating his service to Nepalbhasa.
When he returned to Nepal, Chwasa Pasa also reached Nepal. Here, along with his friends, he organized a grand three-day Nepalbhasa literature conference inside Hanuman Dhoka. Furthermore, to build a temple of literature for Chwasa Pasa, he collected many old scriptures and established Asha Sapukuthi (Asha Library) under Chwasa Pasa on Thinglaga 2, Nepal Sambat 1108, serving as its librarian. He was also the founder of the Dictionary Construction Committee, Japanese Literature Translation Committee, and Archive Preservation Committee.
He, who contributed significantly to the promotion of Nepalbhasa, was the founder of Nasa Khala and a founding member of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association and the Nepal-China Friendship Association. In addition to these organizations, he was associated with many other associations and organizations at that time.
He, who made significant contributions to raising linguistic awareness and promoting Nepalbhasa literature by studying and teaching Nepalbhasa in schools, colleges, and universities, was honored by various organizations, and on Bachhalaga Dutiya, Nepal Sambat 1095, Chwasa Pasa awarded him the title of 'Bhasanibhha'. Thus, Prem Bahadur Kansakar, having worked extensively in political, cultural, social, and linguistic fields throughout his life, passed away on Yenla Thwa 14, Nepal Sambat 1111.
