Mr. Uttamanarayan, son of Mr. Muktinarayan and Mrs. Devikumari of Mahabutuwa, Kathmandu Uttamanarayan He was born in 1947. After completing Engineering in 1969 from Madras University in India, he later received a scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at Strathclyde University in the UK. However, being an exceptionally bright student with excellent results, the university authorities facilitated his studies up to the PhD level, allowing him to successfully obtain a PhD degree in structural engineering in 1976. In particular, he made significant contributions to systematizing engineering education and institutional development in Nepal.
